Word of the Day bun
Firstly, the REM concert was amazing. If I had died straight after, undoubtedly I wouldn't have cared.
Secondly... the other news. The news which I don't actually care about, though shall write anyway so that when I old and grey(er than today) I'll look back on this and see what a waste of time my sixteenth year was.
We'll see what comes to me, aye?
I went into town the other day and bought some drumsticks at Neville Brothers and came up short when I was paying for them, and I kinda just wanted to die. I got away with it, cos the boss just named a lower price so I could pay. I was humiliated actually.
I also bought a sports top that I can do my rowing and fencing in, as, on Thursday (a fortnight ago) I finally lost it when it came to using my normal tops for sport. I used a red top for fencing and now odd little patches on the inside of my fencing kit are all pink. It pissed me off something rotten.
I went around loads of places, then ended up at TK Maxx where I found a great pink (surprisingly for me) Nike top it was dead comfy and I actually really liked it. I decided to buy it, and then I took it off to try on another top just in case. I make that seem so casual, but the fact was that I couldn't get out of the top for roughly ten minutes and spent all the time struggling with it. That pissed me off too and I was v. conscious of the time, the amount of noise I was making and my imagination running wild (the firemen had to come and cut me out of said top, lots of screaming, lots of sirens, lots of laughing). Plus, it must've sounded quite dodgy when people came into the changing rooms and there's one cubicle at the end with weird growly noises coming from it. Like I said, it pissed me off, so I was growling out curses and swearing away...
Luckily, I got the top off, got changed, bought a different top and then went off and did my own thing for a bit and then went home after a sort of argument with my ma.
Came home and watched Little Women which made me all nostalgic and sad. I have also finally decided the Christian Bale deserves the benefit of the doubt for his skills as an actor, cos he is quite good, even if he did do that evil film based on... that... evil.. book...
I found out today that Lisa always saw herself as Jo (the eldest, fair enough; the leader... I think not!), saw Danielle as Beth (who dies... flattering!) and me as Amy... that's not particularly flattering either.
Still though, in a way it was quite sweet.
And to bring me to now... Bone's off at New Wine having a great time, and although I'm glad that's she is, I also feel depressed cos I'm not there too (though Soul Survivor would be the better place to be) and the fact that I'm not having a great holiday so far.
le Beak doesn't want to see me, I expect Bone'll be busy, Cherry... I'll forget that one. So basically nothing's going to happen this summer.
My dad's side of the family invited Lisa and Danielle to come and stay for a week before the rest of us come down and that made me feel quite unwanted. They've been down before on their own, and I don't get a turn to go?
I know Puddy doesn't like me, but she needn't make it quite so obvious. I'm not sure quite what I'm supposed to have done, but either way - it's not nice when your own grandma basically hates your guts and perminantly makes snide remarks to you and she also hates my ma and my ma's family. Pah.
Anyway, on Saturday I went t' Brummieland for the steve gig. Tim was there, steve were there, other bands were there (but they were basically crap) and Cathy Burton was there. I'll talk about her in a moment.
My dad and I got to the gig at about 11:45am and it turned out that we'd missed steve, and to start off with, I was devastated. I couldn't be bothered with the gig and I went to go and find my dad to ask him if we could go home after we'd seen Tim. So I go to where my dad was, and a few metres from him a certain young drummer stood... Joe!
I went over to him and gave him the drumsticks I bought for him and he looked quite surprised and then he gave me a hug.
It was a pleasant experience. ;)
We talked for a bit and I got my photo taken with him.
I then went to watch the band who was performing at the time and I decided to stay, I mean, if I couldn't see steve play, the at least I'd be able to talk to them?
A little later I spotted Neil, so I went over and talked to him. The great thing about the steve lads is that if you walk past them, and make eye contact or even look in their general direction, they'll smile at you and give you a look like they recognise you. Maybe they do, well, Paul did, even though he thought I was from Newcastle... but he knew who I was off the forum and he knew which was the last gig he'd seen me at, so that was all good.
But I started off talking with Neil. Joe had disappared off somewere and Lee and Paul didn't seem to be around, so I talked to Neil (not that there's a problem there. I totally LOVE the guy.)
I talked to him for a while and got him to write something in my Bible. He wrote the loveliest thing and I remembered how sweet he is. I also had a couple of photos taken with him too.
Later I got Lee and Paul to write in my Bible and had pictures taken with them too.
However, when it came to me going to see them for that, I was torn between going to them, or staying in front of the stage where the fabulous Cathy Burton was playing. I knew of her, but I'd never heard her stuff, and I have to say, I didn't really want to. But she came on stage and started singing and I totally fell in love with her voice and the music she was playing. Lee said she was very good and I said it was a bit of an understatement. He smiled at that. Lee's okay. He's just different to the other three.
Standing up for 7 hours really did my back in, I'll tell you that. It was totally worth it seeing the steve boys, Tim Hughes and Cathy Burton. But I'm still in pain now, and it's Wednesday...
But let's move into the very recent past... what's new? I am now allowed to go to the Wednesday night sessions of rowing. I totally screwed up my knuckles on Sunday at rowing. Last Thursday I was offered drugs under a bridge. I declined.
I have bought myself an 800N Leon Paul jacket as well as a load of epees and another foil. Though all the swords need a bit of work doing to them. I got a DVD through the post today too, a James Blunt one. The Wisemen DVD. I put a 'wanted' thing on Amazon a while ago and someone actually answered and sent it me. I'm a bit worried though, cos I didn't pay for it. So if my folks find out I'm in deep shit. But I didn't mean to. I didn't realise it'd actually charge the credit card. I just thought you'd get an answer... but no. You get an answer alright, but you also get a reciept. Meh. I hope they don't find out. I currently have no money so i can't pay for it anyway, plus, even if I did; they'd just say I was being dishonest. They never believe me.
I finally bought a new duvet cover, so now my bedroom doesn't look quite so childish. It's all good. Oh yeah, (btw, this post is starting to look really disorganised and messy, but that's just me, okay? You can live with it? Oh good.) I mentioned after I saw CB that she was playing at New Wine to Ellie and Ellie actually went to check her out and recorded some CB on her phone of CB's soundcheck. Ellie is sooooo sweet.
I dunno what else to say really. I could complain a lot about everything, but I won't. I'll just complain a little about some things.
Btw, cos I've got nothing to say about them; I'll give a heads up to Flessie and Kaling. But that's the first and the last one I'll do of that...
Sorry for the large gaps in posting. My bad.
